DENTAL CROWDING
When there is not enough space in the jaw to adequately accommodate all the teeth, they can clench, overlap and rotate, sometimes being pushed forward or backward.
CRUSADER BITE
In the cruciate bite, one or more upper teeth bite the inside of the lower teeth. This can lead to tooth wear, gum disease, or loss of bone density.
SPACES BETWEEN THE TEETH
When there is too much space between two or more teeth, doctors find spacing problems and refer to the condition as "diastema" or "teeth with gaps".
DEEP BITE
Deep bite occurs when the upper front teeth are more advanced than the lower ones.
REVERSE BITE
The reverse bite occurs when, closing the mouth, the lower front teeth are advanced compared to the upper ones. In many cases, the lower jaw that is too advanced is actually a problem.
OPEN BITE
If the upper or lower teeth do not touch when the mouth is closed, the doctor detects the presence of an open bite.
